Dungeon Smashers

Dungeon Smashers I love this game. I'm sure the Chibi style pushes some tradionalists away, but they are losing a gem. This is one of the best original-related iterarions of the game: it has a fresh approach to old concepts and make the original game feel like a modern creature. The chibi style makes me think about the perfect d20 "Tales of...." campaign. Highly recommend this, it is full of exciting rules solving some classic hindrances (for those who find old school gaming compelling as well as clunky)....

MgT Traveller Character Sheet i like this sheet than the official sheet, personally, the official sheets seems... bland? i don't know they don't stand out nor have character if you pardon the pun. i like the flow chart here better as well, much clearer than the text. worth the investment!

Cosmos: Age of Sail Charted Space
by Thomas F.
Publisher: Horizons Games
Date Added: 04/19/2021 15:54:07
Cosmos: Age of Sail Charted Space Truly enjoyed this book. The writer lays out a fun, well thought out universe that evokes old school Traveller and while the interior art, especially the aliens are basic, they do get the author's ideas across. The just released Companion Book has slightly better alien art, and for $1 is easy on the pocket book, as is this 160 page core book you can get for $4. The maps, data and descriptions are excellent and could easily be dropped into an ongoing campaign. The timeline is nicely laid out with the inclusion of criminal organizations, and Red Zones that are truly deadly. As someone who's played Traveller for decades I'm glad I bought it and I'd recommend it to my friends who use the Cepheus Engine, or any d6 system they'd want to add a fun sci-fi setting to. ...

Ruins of Generica Although I have not printed all the pieces from this set, what I have printed so far has been fantastic. Clearly lots of thought went into the design and how to break up a large center piece print into mutiple segments. I esspecially appreciate the numbering on the bottom of the pieces to help wiith the build. I will be looking out for future projects from this designer.

B1-9 In Search of Adventure (Basic)
by Edward C. O.
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
Date Added: 04/19/2021 13:52:17
B1-9 In Search of Adventure (Basic) first, i want to give praise to the Customer Support when i reached out to them. i got the book, but it's printing was soooo poor, scanned printing way off, the glue binding was piss poor from pages 1-49, and it was good after page 50. after i got in contact and showed proof of the terrible binding and printing, they shipped it for free and much better print! now, the book itself, this book is written as having all of the dungeons, and events from the B1-9, think of this as a Greatest Hits album versus buying individual albums. you get the best of from the B modules and either re-written or re-worked to connect all of these adventures as a giant campaign book. the scans are good, the maps are easy to read, and the text is pretty good to read through as well. i also like the little texts underneath the modules and explain some behind the scenes info and such. this is a handy book to run all of the modules as a giant campaign within the Known World of Mystara, it also tells you...

Star Trek Adventures Quickstart
by Edward C. O.
Publisher: Modiphius
Date Added: 04/19/2021 13:23:57
Star Trek Adventures Quickstart this is a rules lite version of the Star Trek Adventures game, i'll be honest, i was very hesistant on diving into Star Trek because of the publisher's choice of dice system: the 2d20 system. depending on the person, you will be for it, as it's more dies to roll and the mechanics encourages team work and play. against it, as it promotes tokens as rewards and the GM can easily be a dick and lulz i win, or indifferent, and just enjoy the game for what it is. to qoute Todd Howard, it just works. the 2d20 system is deceptively simple, the confusing part really is damage rolls and the distance of a zone. that said, this is a quickstart guide its quick, easy to get through, and a good way to introduce your group to a new system and a familiar setting. my complaint for this quickstart, is i wish there is options for diplomancy as i feel that what a Star Fleet officer would push for, but for what this is, it's a good introduction albeit combat heavy. if you want a be...

Yig's Teeth: A Call of Cthulhu Scenario for Down Darker Trails
by Jazmin O.
Publisher: Chaosium
Date Added: 04/19/2021 10:51:50
Yig's Teeth: A Call of Cthulhu Scenario for Down Darker Trails I ran this for an online convention over the weekend. We ended up finishing in about 3 1/2 hours (I imagine it would be closer if the players rp'd more or did gamble at the beginning, my players didn't gamble). We had 5 out of 6 pregens in use-Tallulah was not used. I would suggest with the Geology and Astronomy rolls that is called for, to give those skills to Johnny, Clay and Tallulah. If I remember correctly, one of the set-up paragraphs in the beginning, Finnegan also gets to do a geology roll if presented with the rock by the prospector, so maybe give him some geology skill even if it's the worst of who has the skill. I would also give Johnny and Tallulah some points in Occult. I wouldn't change Hugh or Clara too much. Overall we had a good time with this scenario, and I will likely run it again with the character tweaks listed above. ...

Tribebook: Wlewa
by Ryan V. D.
Publisher: White Wolf
Date Added: 04/19/2021 07:20:04
Tribebook: Wlewa An excellent book presenting an interesting counter point to the Garou Nation. The Wlewa are a cautionary tale for what the Garou will later struggle with within themselves in later eras. In era, they present one of the biggest threats for the nascent Garou Nation as they have many of the same strengths the werewolves have to begin with. Plus, the book presents the facinating potential for a "what if" scenario of what may have happened if the Garou had not won the war of rage.

LEGION I'll just update my rating with a quick comment on the printed book: it's a gorgeous print-on-demand softcover. The full-page painted internal artwork looks brilliant. The content is as per the updated digital edition, including extra art and a scenario at the back. Highly recommended, and proof you can have loads of despicable fun with a varied mob of Chaos Broo without needing to specify what they get up to with their willies.

Mud, Blood, & Glory 2nd Edition
by April H.
Publisher: Black Hat Games
Date Added: 04/19/2021 03:02:18
Mud, Blood, & Glory 2nd Edition Personally, I love this system a lot. I've had the pleasure and privelige of being able to play in a campaign with some of the creative team themselves and it has been an absolute blast, through-and-through. If I had made the system myself, I might have done some things differently, but as it stands Mud, Blood, and Glory is honestly *the* wild west RPG to play in the modern era. Since I mentioned I'm in a campaign with some of the creators, I do want to clarify that this review was not solicited, asked for, or paid for in any way. I'm simply slightly drunk at 1AM, and I simply love this system. That is all to be said. Also, as a quick aside, I just want to mention how criminal I think it is that the wild west is not incredibly popular in the RPG world. In my opinion, it is the PERFECT setting for that true "adventure" vibe. The bones of the western are what make up so much of modern fantasy and I'd love to see the setting get anywhere close to as popular ...
